The village of Hammam Ouled Ali is located in the west of the municipality of Héliopolis, 17 km northwest of the city of Guelma, on the national road No. 8 connecting the provinces of Guelma and Skikda. Due to its strategically important location on the slope of a picturesque mountain range and the abundance of its fresh and thermal waters, it attracts a large number of tourists from different provinces of the country, seeking rest and leisure. It is considered as a thermal tourism pole of the province, especially in winter and spring, real seasons for thermal tourism.
Hammam Ouled Ali has 04 thermal springs, with temperatures around 57°C, and is characterised by its chemical and physical properties and its richness in sulphate, magnesium, sodium, calcium and potassium. Their waters have many therapeutic properties and are recommended for the relief of rheumatic, nervous, respiratory, arterial, ENT and dematological diseases.
The region has private tourist complexes, particularly the famous thermal complexes: El-Baraka and Bouchahrine, which are among the most important thermal centres in the country. Both complexes offer good services to tourists, such as accommodation, catering, thermotherapy treatments such as hydromassage, breathing and inhalation, massage, mechanical therapy and physical therapy.
The El Baraka thermal complex has: a hotel (90 rooms), with a capacity of 167 beds, a medical centre, a swimming pool, 112 shower rooms, a restaurant (200 seats), a conference room (250 seats), and an extension is planned for the creation of a hotel and Bungalows (33) (116 beds), a restaurant and a cafeteria.
The Bouchahrine complex has: a hotel (90 rooms), bungalows (64) with a capacity of 236 beds, a medical centre, a swimming pool, 90 shower rooms, a restaurant (120 people), an amphitheatre (300 people), and a restaurant.
There is also a traditional communal bath including (24 shower rooms).
