The regional theatre “Mahmoud Triki” is located in the centre of the city of Guelma. It is the oldest cultural space for theatrical performances and the most important cultural establishment in the province. It was built during the colonial period in 1880, using polished Roman stones in its construction. It was classified as a regional theatre in 2008. Interior modifications have been made, including balconies and seating. The regional theatre can currently accommodate 350 spectators. It contributes to the development of the local and national cultural and artistic heritage through the production, staging and broadcasting of theatrical performances for children and adults.
