The Moudjahid Museum of the Province of Guelma is located in the Abdel Latif Mekhancha quarter in Bab Annaba, on the national road No.21, next to the martyr’s shrine. It entered the exploitation phase in 1995. It is a historical, cultural and social building with a total area of 12,310 square metres and a built-up area of 1,498 square metres, consisting of two floors.
The museum wings include valuable historical exhibits for viewing, examination and study. It also organises a variety of activities, such as study days, meetings, seminars and historical and cultural conferences to disseminate historical culture and present historical heroes and heroines. The museum plays an important central role in preserving the national memory, communicating with society, developing the spirit of patriotism, instilling values and raising awareness of the importance of history as the living memory of the people.
